Alfred Charles Coveney
Lance Corporal
190 Coy Pioneer Corps
Our Dad landed on Juno Beach with the 6th Canadian Field Company in the second wave.
We know very little about his experiences: he just did not talk about his war experience other than amusing incidents. He did not want his medals so did not have any. We do know that he fought actively as well as being a medical orderly.
Later in life he told me he had found a young lad, took care of him and was able to reunite him with his mother.
