Raymond Harry Wheeler – Légion d’Honneur

Ray Arrived on D-day at Juno beach but couldn’t disembark so went in on the second wave at Gold beach. After this he went on to guard the German prisoners. He was then sent to Araman to join the Canadian engineers. He was also involved in the installation of the Bailey bridges and the building of runways due to the Germans bombing the original runways.
