Jane Stokes – our history researcher

Paul Turner, Chair of the Bristol Normandy veterans, would like to thank Jane Stokes for her hundreds of hours spent researching the war records of our sadly lost veterans who fought so bravely during several campaigns of the Normandy invasion, who endlessly maintained the memory of their comrades who never returned.

Without Jane’s tireless endeavour to seek out their actions in Normandy, we would not have the amount of information on this site about each veteran listed.

The families of these brave men are grateful for your support in this project, identifying information that many of them were not aware of.
